I fell in love with Datlow/Windling collections when my Mum introduced me to The Faery Reel: Tales from the Twilight Realm and have been bowled over repeatedly with each successive one I find. You will very much enjoy these tales of Coyote, Loki, Raven and other trickster figures from world mythology.

Great book splendid service
All literature is subjective and anthologies are always a crap-shoot. I liked some stories, but others seemed…lacking.
I have been unable to put this book down - it's stories are just mesmerizing!
Am collecting all Ms. Datlow's books & this one was not a disappointment. Great trickster reading..(Why do I need 4 more words when I've said it all????)
I stumbled across a reference to this book in a newsgroup, and ordered it through my local library. I had barely begun reading it, when, because I was smiling so broadly, Hubby asked to look at it briefly. He immediately became so engrossed I left him to it and simply ordered a copy. The writing is enchantment defined!
Every book Ellen Datlow touches in any way is a guaranteed winner.
Excellent! I don't usually read short story collections, but I picked this book up about a year ago and have been reading a story or two out of it every so often. Coyote is one of my favorite mythic creatures. These stories do him/her justice. Some are tragic (the last story about the talking dogs was one of the best and terribly disturbing), some are hilarious, and some are just jaw-droppingly excellent. Highly recommended!
